Amazon.com revisited, products priced under $10.
Low priced products make money fall out of pockets like there is a hole in them. It doesn’t take a lot of thought to spend $5 on something. In other respects too, in certain industries it is easy to make a decision about something. Like the Sprint instinct. It was $129. Or the new iPhone at $199. When the price is easy the purchase is even easier.
The Philosophy of The RSS Feed – A deeper look at New Media
Media used to be “what they wanted you to watch”. With RSS the user now has the power and access of someone who goes to a library or bookstore and sees the “LOUD!” exhibit, which the user can glance at and drill down deeper into if he wants to. It doesn’t stop there anymore. Its not just picking which billboard anymore. Now its deciphering which section and book you are interested in, on a continuous basis. I pick RSS feeds, and if I don’t like them they get dropped like a book that wasn’t that interesting. If I like what an RSS feed has to say I start to get more immersed, and get committed. RSS is the ultimate F YOU to the mainstream media.

The perfect storm, Batman – The Dark Knight
As I predicted last week, the Dark Knight did amazing. It got 9.7/10 on IMDB (Internet Movie Database).
It was the perfect storm because:
- It was a sequel
- It was a good movie
- Heath Ledger’s death inspired people to see it
CNN Comment on RSS feeds
My comment to CNN:
if your free product is so good and you give people the option to pay, they will.
There is a radio station online that plays prank calls 24/7. It is hilarious. it is crude, and sometimes the jokes go to far, but it is great, and its free. But I laughed so hard I donated. www.radioprank.com
Get increased blog traffic by keyword? Search Engine Optimization
I know this seems silly but Seth Godin was talking on an audio clip with Timothy Ferris about the fact that if you aren’t in the top ten results on Google you don’t exist. This seems to be true so the whole point of this post is to try and lure the Google spider. Here Spidey Spidey….. crawl this. So I’m pretty sure that by dropping Business and other Marketing keywords sporadically through my post maybe I’ll get more Search Engine results. I’m bolding and italicizing so that it’ll be obvious to the human reader. So now maybe I’ll blab. Interest Rates are headed down again. I think I might do a Home Loan Refinance because It would drop my payment by about $150 and raise my principal payoff on the Amortization Schedule.
