What do MySpace, Youtube, Facebook, Craigslist and Wikipedia have in common?

Comments

MySpace, Youtube, Facebook, Craigslist and Wikipedia are all on the top ten searches under ask.com’s IQ. are people really that lazy that they don’t want to type in “Myspace.com”? Yes. I do it all the time. We all do it, it just seems faster sometimes. The obvious fastest way to get to these places is to put them on your booksmarks toolbar, but if you are on a foreign computer, maybe you don’t have all of your bookmarks with you….enter Google Chrome or Firefox add ins? Set up a virtual bookmarks toolbar that you login to. This would not be that hard.

Subdomains, Godaddy, Wordpress, Languages plugin

Comments

I just added 3 subdomains.

blog.seansrant.com – For my site, so that it now has the blog identifier URL also.

nicole.seansrant.com – Nicole’s new blog.

manifesterblog.seansrant.com – Dan and Amadeo’s new blog.

I think its awesome that with 1 Gogaddy hosting account and 1 domain, I essentially have 3 fully operational domains and instances of Wordpress. Classic!

A toss up: A new theme which I prefer, but no analytics. *updated

Comments

So apparently the theme upgrade messed with the Wordpress Google Analytics Plugin. I tried to manually place the code in the theme. We’ll see if that works. I hope so because I am liking the new theme. The Wassup stats are still working, but the reports on Wassup are not as nice as Google Analytics reports, they’re just fresher.

Updates – Feed Burner RSS Feeds and stats, Myspace & Facebook RSS Apps, Wordpress & the Meta Widget, Google’s new browser

Comments

I am finally seeing that I have RSS subscribers! I figured I had subscribers before, but without using the feedburner flowthrough link I wasn’t tracking the feeds. It took deleting the Wordpress meta widget and creating login and logout links.

Die Wordpress Meta Widget!

Comments

The wordpress Meta widget has been great in the past, but when trying to edit it, I was baffled, and after much frustration….DELETED! I used a basic HTML widget, with the two links I needed, which were the admin login and log out links. I am trying to integrate with feedburner better because i could not find a Wordpress plugin that manipulates RSS feeds natively in Wordpress to add the tools at the bottom of the RSS feed like “comments” “email this”, etc. Well now they’re on there if you are using the correct feed. If you don’t see it, update the feed using the buttons on the right toolbar. I’m not sure how many feed subscribers i actually have, so if you are switch to the feedburner feed to see the updates. Since I had posted previously about the quality of an RSS feed contributing to the likelihood of me reading it, I felt compelled to try and spruce mine up.
