Amazon.com revisited, products priced under $10.

Comments

Low priced products make money fall out of pockets like there is a hole in them. It doesn’t take a lot of thought to spend $5 on something. In other respects too, in certain industries it is easy to make a decision about something. Like the Sprint instinct. It was $129. Or the new iPhone at $199. When the price is easy the purchase is even easier.

From 0 to 30 in 6 hrs. Hello there Gainesville, FL!

Comments

So, beginning with my post earlier, I hypothesized about the state of Grooveshark. I got a lightning fast response from Ben in user relations. Through our later dialogues via my posts, his comments, and email I am thoroughly convinced that they care about what their users think. The company site says that they have 40 employees. Google Analytics tells me that 30 unique visitors visited my site today from Gainesville, FL (the Grooveshark HQ). So 3/4 of their staff visited my site today. How cool is that? Thanks to Grooveshark, Analytics, Download Squad, Cool user relations staff for a very interesting dialogue adding some spice to my day today! I have provided the whole story below for those interested (I’m looking your way Gainesville…..)

Here are my comments on the GSlite service so far, per your request – and I’m going to get real nit-picky and specific. These are not meant to be jabs in the least bit, but suggestions.

Grooveshark, Streaming Radio Continued

Comments

I was checking Analytics and saw Florida had the highest visits and looked to see that the city of Gainesville were all of them, which I thought was curious, because like I said earlier, New York, California, and Texas have been maintaining the top 3 slots (and still are minus the Gainesville Phenomenon). I checked into it and sure enough, Grooveshark’s HQ is in Gainesville, FL. You guys must be on the freaking ball with someone doing searches for Grooveshark to improve the service. i got a comment on the post I had almost immediately from the Grooveshark staff. Way to go! This is the most proactive I have seen a startup company be yet. So far I am liking the service, I am still getting used to the Pandora transition though. How fast will you guys pick up on this posting???

if your free product is so good and you give people the option to pay, they will.

There is a radio station online that plays prank calls 24/7. It is hilarious. it is crude, and sometimes the jokes go to far, but it is great, and its free. But I laughed so hard I donated. www.radioprank.com

Ask Sunday

Comments

I asked Sunday and am waiting for a response. I’m willing to try just about anything. This is an outsourcing service for small tasks (less than 20 min). Anything bigger would be considered a project and would cost more, but I got 15 tasks a month for $29. There is a week trial period, with 4 free tasks. It is for more basic tasks, like ordering things online, setting appointments, etc. I am still testing the product, but the idea is great. I might end up with GetFriday, which is a charge per hour service and is more expensive, but I bet it is better too. Use my name as a referral for Ask Sunday if you sign up, and I’ll get points. Ask Sunday I will update this post when I decide.
