CNN Comment on RSS feeds
My comment to CNN:
“You are CNN. One of the top providers in news. CNN can’t seem to figure out that the point of RSS feeds is so that you don’t have to click the link to your homepage. If I wanted to do that I would have just gone to your homepage. Put the whole story in the feed. If CNN is doing this intentionally because of AD placement, well then CNN is just being belligerent. Ads can be placed in RSS feeds too. Also, the RSS feeds are often repeated. It seems to me that CNN has placed someone low on the totem pole in charge of RSS feeds, when really these are the equivalent of the digital user chosen newspaper of the new age. Look at AOL, they were the biggest of their kind too and they rested on that until they weren’t, and it wasn’t for lack of resources. Wake up CNN, you can place yourself on the path of least resistance, or make people hike to get to you. When someone places their business at the bottom of the hill, CNN won’t know why people stopped hiking.”
