Google Chrome Feed Speak – 33 times!
So far there has been 33 mentions of Google Chrome in the RSS feeds I subscribe to (Mashable, Techcrunch, Lifehacker, etc). Holy crap! I suggested to Google Reader that they implement a thread function for feeds so that with one click one could see all of these, and wouldn’t be inundated with them. And I know that between yesterday and today I’ll have mentioned it twice so of course I’m part of the problem. You could say that i subscribe to too many tech blogs, but only on big releases do they talk about the same thing over and over again.
So of course I tried Google Chrome. It has been good so far. My two favorite things and question are:
- Speed – It is quicker than Firefox.
- Tabs to windows and back – One thing I was always wishing for in Firefox was to be able to drag a tab out and put it back. Well now I’ve got it with Chrome.
- ? – Will Google come up with a synch function like the foxmarks Firefox tool?
FYI – Aside fromt the obvious reason of trying out Chrome because its Google and Google usually comes out with pretty sweet stuff, my Firefox was acting up, and 3.1 would continuously crash, and my 2.16 was starting to act up too. We’ll see how it goes.
Additionally, Backtype.com is sweet. It is a comment search tool that lets you search comments as a whole, but as an added bonus, lets you track your own comments on others’ sites. See my link on the right sidebar for my comments tracked on Backtype.
