Wordpress Plugins = Magical Goodness. Free Wordpress Shopping Cart Plugin

without comments

Wow. Wordpress continues to amaze me. For free, you get all these plugin and widget goodies. I haven’t used this plugin, because I’m not currently selling anything right now, but if I do, I now know where to go. Wordpress is revolutionizing the art of plug n play website management. Of course there are free website content managers out there, but for me, Wordpress is slick. Keep it up WP, and to all the developers who make the plugins!

A toss up: A new theme which I prefer, but no analytics. *updated

So apparently the theme upgrade messed with the Wordpress Google Analytics Plugin. I tried to manually place the code in the theme. We’ll see if that works. I hope so because I am liking the new theme. The Wassup stats are still working, but the reports on Wassup are not as nice as Google Analytics reports, they’re just fresher.

Sweet Wordpress Plugin Tools

Wordpress Plugins I just added: “Digg-Digg” which automatically puts a digg button on my posts, “wp-polls” which lets me add polls on the site, “Wassup” shows the current number of visitors online, and “wp-wall” which is like facebook wall on the side of the site. I hope you like these tools and use them to interact with the site more! Tell me in the poll how you like the site!

Testing the Wordpress plugin Post Teaser

without comments

Tell me if you hate it….. I am using the plugin Post Teaser in an effort to better utilize Google Analytics. I don’t get any useful data out of seeing that visitors saw the main page. I know I could use the “…more” function but that seems to be more tedious than to do the whole site at once with a plugin. Thanks for reading and tell me if you have any better plugin suggestions! Note- one thing I don’t like is the Post Teaser error page. It still works, but gives an error page after making changes. Does anyone know how to restore Wordpress to a previous date? For some reason it deleted all of my widgets. They are mostly back now, but it was a pain in the ass.
