What do MySpace, Youtube, Facebook, Craigslist and Wikipedia have in common?

MySpace, Youtube, Facebook, Craigslist and Wikipedia are all on the top ten searches under ask.com’s IQ. are people really that lazy that they don’t want to type in “Myspace.com”? Yes. I do it all the time. We all do it, it just seems faster sometimes. The obvious fastest way to get to these places is to put them on your booksmarks toolbar, but if you are on a foreign computer, maybe you don’t have all of your bookmarks with you….enter Google Chrome or Firefox add ins? Set up a virtual bookmarks toolbar that you login to. This would not be that hard.

I am also waiting to see what happens with Chrome’s add ons, because I am sincerely missing the firefox add in “foxmarks”, and also….web video in Chrome SUCKS, it doesn’t work at all. I am so used to the sweet look of Chrome and its functionality otherwise that I’ll use it until I need Firefox and switch back to Firefox when I need something that requires it. Does this sound familiar? Yes, this is what I did with Firefox and when I needed something that I knew would only work in IE I would switch back. Hmmm…the trend continues, and so does the ailment of the early adopter. Easier, faster, better (except the minor glitches), at the cost of a transfer. So far I have tried out IE 8 and it is pretty nice, but I am still testing out Chrome and have a subconscious aversion to anything Microsoft (I’m definitely not the only one).
